Porcelain coated sinks are potentially prone to damage, but are easy to clean and are a durable, sanitary choice. A third option increasing in popularity is made of Solid Surface Materials and comes in a variety of colors, some imitating high end stones such as granite. These sinks are prone to scratch, but are easily buffed. And lastly, copper sinks are an artistic choice made of hand-hammered, thick copper. They are resistant to bacteria, but naturally tarnish with age.
